1Q84

This is the longest book I have ever read.
Possibly with more intensity than any other.

It does not have a typical Murakami ending.
Which gives me a strange hope for the future.

For the last two weeks, living in my own world.
Never has a book consumed me so fully.

You build your own reality.
You have to write your own story.

The path back to the world you want to exist in.
Might not lead you to the reality that once existed.

But with the right person next to you holding your hand.
It doesn't matter which road you choose or where it leads.

1Q84

"The air was startlingly fresh, and the stillness filled the surrounding space.  The perfectly clear sky seemed to soar upward, and the warmth of the sunlight gently touched any skin directly exposed to it."

This is what I want it to feel like where I live.  I want to move to the country.

1Q84

"Either I'm funny or the world's funny, I don't know which.  The bottle and lid don't fit. It could be the bottle's fault or the lid's fault.  In either case, there's no denying that the fit is bad."

1Q84

Like it or not, I'm here now, in the year 2Q13.  The 2013 that I knew no longer exists.  It's 2Q13 now.  The air has changed, the scene has changed.  I have to adapt to this world-with-a-question-mark as soon as I can.  Like an animal released into a forest.  In order to survive, I have to learn the rules of this place and adapt myself to them."

Unfamiliar places

I rode my bicycle to Whole Foods yesterday....
I stopped at the river to reflect....
and remembered how close to the skatepark this is

Sunset
I grew up with a good sized creek in my front yard
..and the Wabash river in the woods in my backyard
As a kid I spent a lot of time at the water's edge
Making boats to float down it
Looking for snakes, frogs, fish and crawdads....
It's strange to remember those feelings and sounds as an adult
I can't help but hope that if I ever have a family, my children will get to experience the same thing
and not just on weekend visits to the grandparent's house........

I am glad this wasn't plugged in
Moyou needs a friend during the day--no amount of chew toys can prevent this...
Parent teacher conferences till 8 tomorrow....that is a 14 hour day folks.....
Going to miss first Thursdays at Thai Taste again so I made my own green curry tonight
The new normal.........

Doesn't look as good as it was.......
I could eat this every night
 These eyes kill me

 "You are not following protocol!"

Preparing for the sissy bar
4.5mm wide 6mm I.D. spacers to welding it to
Hope I have time to clean up some welds...
..and start taking care of this ugliness tomorrow.

Tank mounted

After the tab was made I couldn't wait...
I was going to take it to Kyle to Tig it but...

Back to the red tank for now
The fuel tap position is more conducive to the engine position
Tapped and cleaned it this morning
Tab cut, bent, cleaned up
Under tank
Prep
Play
Post test weld
My brother always said most of the time spent welding is in the prep
Moyou agrees

Tapped the frame instead of welding in the bung
These old Ariel frames have thick tubing.....
Still needs cleaned up and a leak tacked up
Next is the sissy bar and tail/brake lights
Next two weeks?
