I help out friends with bikes. Sometimes I get a thanks, sometimes money, sometimes they get me back by helping tear down my ramp or put a motor in a frame, etc.. Then some of them are a part of a skateboard company and hook it up. Thanks Chris. I appreciate it.

Mr.Pickett and Green Peppers
Ran out of gas on the way home from Rise. Neat. Why? Because I thought the mileage counter was wrong...I was sure I filled it before I went to Japan...... Oh well. Mr. Pickett, I hope you find the 4 leaf clovers you were searching for when I rudely interrupted your afternoon to ask for help. Thank you for the gas!
First green peppers two days ago and first tomato picked today. Garden season has begun!
Stuffed with garlic couscous. . . . . so good.

Honda Dream E
Honda Dream E. 1951.
Honda's first motorcycle powered by a 4 stroke OHV engine.
I love the the old Honda/Indiana/Harley engines with the grey finned top ends.

Honda Dream D
Honda Dream D. 1949.
This was Honda's first true motorcycle. The frame was made of pressed steel so it could be mass produced. It was called the "Dream" because this was Mr. Honda's dream, to successfully build, race, and sell motorcycles.

Honda Model C
Honda Model C 1949
Both the engine and the frame on the Model C were designed by Honda. It won in its class at the U.S-Japan race in Tokyo. Below is a close up of what I assume is the first Honda Logo.

The first honda "motorcycle"
Or should I say a bicycle that Mr. Honda decided to mount one of his first engines on.
This engine was designed to be mounted on post-war bicycles. It had a clutch and belt drive and was basically a modified radio generator engine used by the military. 1946
The first motorcycle ever built
.....wasn't a honda. Duh. It was this, 1885 Daimler Reitrad.
Out in the boonies Honda runs a race track and a Honda collection museum with cars, motorcycles, ASIMO the robot and everything in between. Masaru was a real gent and took me there to drool for a few hours. Of course I came away with a bunch of pictures..... I'll be posting many of them.

Last night in Japan
A line of Honda Cubs outside a noodle restaurant ready for delivery. 渋い〜
Masaru contemplating life in the states.......or maybe he is just hungry.Yeah, that was it. Macrobiotic food can be hit or miss in Shibuya but this place was ON. So is Bio Cafe.
This was the bus stop. yeah, 330 wake up, 405 taxi 445 bus to get on my 630 plane. All A.M. Which was p.m. yesterday for everyone back here in the states. And I didn't sleep the night before I had to get up which puts me at......somewhere between 2 and 3 days of no sleep. Cognitive function at an all time low.
