ラリーのバイクが。。。

Larry brought his bike back to get a few things done.
This is what the old gauges looked like.
Here are the new gauges. I think they match the overall look of the bike way better than the stock ones....
Here is what is next. This left carb has a ripped diaphram which makes for crappy idling and a little bit-o-backfire. I am waiting till it gets cooler tackle this one. Also, something I haven't seen before, this is sticking...not sure why. Seems like the spring might be done....lubed it up earlier but nothing changed. I have an extra carb.... so if all else fails.... I'll get her to you by tomorrow Larry I promise!

お客さんのバイクだけど、左側のキャブが壊れている。。今夜涼しくなってから修理をつつけようと〜
先までゲージを交換したりー

Mid-ohio-Madness

Got about 3 hours of sleep. Black tea and ginger kept me warm tilll the sun came up.
Good old back country Indiana (and Ohio).

This is the crew. My dad on a goldwing with trailer, just in case. Two of his buddies Todd and Mark on touring bikes and me on the shadow, being hidden by the goldwing of course.
I dont usually like riding in groups but these guys have more experience than me and the trip went smoothly. About 350 miles overall, not bad for a Saturday. MidOhio was a life changing experience. I will be camping next year. Took me 3.5 hours just to get through all the swap meet booths and that was rushing! Found a couple of cb350 carbs for me and Larry, an old brake light, old cans of paint, and a cool old honda jacket. I took over 100 pictures of bikes. Needless to say, they wont all make it up but I am planning on going through a few a week just to keep the sight updated. I also have weeks worth of posting to do on the Japan trip I just got back from....school starts in less than 3 weeks.........

Warp speed

Lightning bugs, sunset, cornfields. This is Indiana.
On a motorcycle it seems a little like your going into light speed....

On the way here I thought of a new way to view speed limit lays. Instead of the number on the sign being miles per hour, lets change it to a percentage of what the speedometer goes up to on our bikes. Mine goes up to 120. The speed PERCENTAGE for I69 is 70. That puts me somewhere around 85 miles per hour. Add 5, thats 90. Perfect.

Masaru Life

Small little baby apartment that is actually big! This same room would cost a grand a month in Tokyo, in Tsukuba, not so much. Your bedroom here will be close to this size.
Yes, cooking. This is Iron Chef Masaru and his single burner kitchen version of Miso soup. It was good Masaru, your face on the other hand, kind of scary......

Mt. Dew

This one is for Mr.Best--

For anyone that knows me, this might be something you will never see again. I don't do the dew. The Dew in Japan however doesnt have things like brominated vegetable oil, or half the other cancer causing ingredient in it that the US version does. Read about. Banned in other countries...
Oh america...

Home sweet Home

Raining, gloomy, Japan is mourning its loss...I am going home
Meals on planes. If you order a special meal of any kind on a plane, you tend to get it about 15 to 20 minutes before everyone else depending on where you are sitting. This can be a good thing, or if your like me, you feel bad and wait till the people next to you get theirs...
Fun fact:! Vegan meals on the way out of the states SUCK! Vegan meals on the way in (prepared by other countries) are way better and DONT suck. This one didn't.
My middle seat flight companion pointed this out to me while I was engrossed in reading. Thanks! Nothanks though for taking up the arm chair and half of my seat the entire way home.
Puzzle pieces and fuzz balls. Wing-in pic from the plain. Detroit I believe?

2 Weeks of busy bee couch/floor sleeping exhaustion +1 day of sleep in my bed. Now I am ready to update. These are the photos on the way back. Typical - from the plane - photos. I have HD video for a bunch of my upcoming posts but no way to edit it small enough to put in on here....boo.

Monkeys live in the mountains of Okayama.

I stole these pictures from Maki. I will post mine later with commentary. 40+ monkeys just chillin', picking and eating things off of each other, and getting pissed at me for getting too close. One younger one even charged at me, I think he thought I had food though......
